Joshua K. Roberts

Joshua Keith Roberts was born in Springfield, Missouri in September of 1973. He is a graduate of Nixa High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Socio-Political Communications graduating summa cum laude from Southwest Missouri State University in 1995. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1998 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Josh was admitted to the Missouri bar in 1998.|Josh currently resides in Nixa, Missouri with his wife, Tifini, and two children, Greyson and Holland. Josh is a published author and the president of Nixa Public School’s Board of Education. Josh attends church at Ozark Highlands Church where he is an elder and plays bass guitar in the praise band. Josh also serves as a director and officer of the Christian County Bar Association.| | |About Joshua K Roberts| |Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.|I have been married to my wife, Dr. Tifini Roberts, for 26 years. We have two children, Greyson Roberts, age 22, and Holland Roberts, age 17, senior at NHS. We are all livelong Nixa residents and soon will all be graduates of Nixa Public Schools.|Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?|I have worked at a law firm since I was 18 years old. I have practiced law for the last 25 years. The most rewarding this about my profession is getting to help people through some of the most difficult times of their lives. I am also the president of the Nixa Board of Education. I have been on the board nine years. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to give back to the community by serving on the school board.|Joshua K Roberts & Our Community| |Q: What are a couple of your favorite businesses/restaurants in Nixa?|My family loves Piccolo, 14 Mill Market and 4 x 4 Brew Co|Q: How long have you lived or worked in Nixa?|I am a lifelong Nixa resident.|Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies/past times?|My family loves to travel so we get out and see the world whenever we can.|Q: What is one of your most favorite things about Nixa?|The people. Being a lifelong resident, I can’t go anywhere without running into people I know and love.|Q: What advice would you give to people living in Nixa?|Get involved and give back. Communities where the citizens are likeminded, get involved and support local government leadership thrive, while those that are divided remain stagnant and fail to grow.|For Fun| |Q: What is something on your bucket list?|I plan to spend 6 months on Maui with my wife as soon as I retire.|Q: What has been a challenge you have had to over come? (Work, Life, School, etc)|I was diagnosed with MS in 2000 and so complications from that disease have really been one of my biggest life obstacles. Currently, I am doing very well with it and am thankful for that.|Q: Who has been a hero in your life?|My wife, Dr. Tifini Roberts. She is fiercely intelligent, extremely funny and has a great personality. I bounce almost every tough decision off of her and she always provides a new perspective and insight.|Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (Even for friends or family)?|I have a true crime YouTube channel called LawyerUp! that has over 67,000 subscribers, 6 million views and over 1.1 million watch hours.|Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?|When people tell me I raised good kids.|Q: Who is an interesting person in our community that you’ve met and deserves to be included in The Faces of Nixa project?|Heather Zoromski; Dr. Geral Loden; Heather Jenkins;
