Coulter Con Curran

Many of Mr. Coulter's clients are people who are seeing their marriages come to an end and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related legal issues as the division of complex assets and debts, child custody and visitation, and spousal and child support. He is an accomplished and forceful courtroom advocate when litigation is necessary, although he often will encourage his clients to attempt to reach an accord on some of these matters through negotiations. In addition to his divorce practice, Mr. Coulter also represents people whose marriages have already been dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing support and parenting court orders. His practice includes establishing and modifying parenting plans in paternity actions as well. His family law experience also includes adoptions, and he has helped clients who have been the victims of domestic violence and who are petitioning the court for protective orders. Mr. Coulter's successful track record and high degree of ethics have earned him a great deal of recognition from his colleagues, including a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. His name has also been included to the list of American Society of Legal Advocates: Top 40 Under 40 as well as to the American Jurist Institute's annual list of the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys. A 2009 recipient of a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Mr. Coulter was awarded his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2012. Since graduating, he has further enhanced his education through completing the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Program presented by the National Institute of Trial Attorneys. He has been invited to speak at multiple Continuing Legal Education programs; and presented the annual caselaw update to Judges and family law practitioners at the 2019 Missouri Bench and Bar Conference.
