He served in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1966 and enrolled in law school at Cleveland State University. While in law school he worked in industrial engineering at the Ford Motor Company Cleveland Foundry and then at the HW Madison Company/Smuckers pickle plant in Medina. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1970 and opened his practice in Medina. Since that time, he has focused his professional career on representing clients who have been injured as a result of medical malpractice, truck and motor vehicle collisions and defective and dangerous products.
