Timothy J. Ryan

Tim has significant experience in a wide range of areas, including general litigation, commercial and residential real estate issues, construction litigation, personal injury litigation (representing both plaintiffs and insurance companies), employment law, and municipal law. Tim represents and counsels numerous small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as nonprofits, regarding numerous and varied issues, including the purchase, sale, and leasing of residential and commercial property. These businesses include medium-sized commercial stores, commercial contractors, and multi-unit residential property owners. Tim has represented both employers and employees with respect to general employment counseling, the negotiation of employment packages, and the negotiation of employee severance agreements. Tim has significant experience in Housing Court, representing landlords and has served as counsel for a number of Housing Court Receivers, including a complex of approximately 225 apartment units. Tim has extensive trial experience in the U. S. District Court and Massachusetts state courts, has handled multiple arbitration matters, and often appears in actions before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD).
