Robert T. Treat

Rob concentrates his practice on premises liability, professional liability, explosion, construction injury and workers compensation matters. Robs most notable defense verdicts in civil jury trials include: a negligent product distribution claim by a waitress whose face was burned by flaming brandy flambé spilled on her by a chef performing a Strawberry Flambe on stage, in the dark, at a wedding reception, all of which was videotaped; a false arrest claim in which the plaintiff claimed that she was strip-searched and mistreated; and a product liability case alleging that a faulty electrical cord of the defendants product caused a factory fire. Robs practice also includes defending and counseling dental and veterinary providers in Board of Registration matters. He has lectured extensively on dental record keeping issues before local and regional dental societies, including Yankee Dental Congress. Rob has also been a guest lecturer of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine on veterinary record keeping issues. When away from the office, Rob enjoys spending time with his children, playing the guitar, as well as golfing, playing tennis, and traveling.
