About

Lindsey Halligan is a partner in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale East offices Property Group, which focuses on defending multiple carriers in first-party insurance claims. Lindseys practice focuses on the litigation of numerous water, fire, SIU fraud, vandalism and theft claims on both residential and commercial properties. Additionally, Lindsey assists multiple carriers in many complex coverage matters, including conducting examinations under oath and preparing coverage opinions in both first-party and third-party claims. Lindsey also provides a proactive and an aggressive defense to carriers in third-party matters, including allegations by tenants or invitees for property damage, premises liability, and personal injury. Lindsey grew up in Colorado, where she attended Regis University and majored in Politics and Broadcast Journalism. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, made Deans List all eight semesters, and was the Universitys Service Learning Coordinator, helping students at Regis find volunteer opportunities around the Denver-Metro area. During her time at Regis, Lindsey interned for the Denver Citys Attorneys Office, where she first developed an interest in law. After completing her undergraduate studies, Lindsey moved to Miami to pursue law and attended the University of Miami Law School. During law school, Lindsey not only made the Deans List, but also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for obtaining the highest grade in one of her courses. She also participated in the Litigation Skills Program offered by the University of Miami and completed law school in two and a half years. Lindsey has donated her time to public service, working as a certified legal intern at both the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office, which provides counsel for indigent persons who are unable to pay for a private attorney, and the Miami Innocence Clinic, which provides counsel to help exonerate wrongly convicted individuals.
