Peter R. Flores

Transformative Leadership in Santa Maria for ACSA Leadership Magazine and Overcoming Barriers to Change for the same publication, and co-authored various peer-reviewed articles. Additionally, he has actively participated as a board member for Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, vice commander of the American GI Forum for California, and senior associate with the Center for Culturally Proficient Educational Practice. He also dedicates time to St. Lukes Parish and his local chapter of the American GI Forum. In light of his impressive undertakings contributions, he been honored with the Meritorious Service Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, and three Navy Achievement Medals. He holds both Surface Warfare and Aviation Warfare qualifications and was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal by the Department of Defense, alongside various service unit awards. His achievements also include honors as a top graduate at the U. S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, a nomination for Teacher of the Year with the Memorial Teaching Excellence Award in 2007, and a finalist position for Bay Area Teacher of the Year that same year.
