While in law school, Emilie served as a staff member of the South Dakota Law Review and also served as Copy Editor. The article she co-wrote, South Dakotas Data-Drive, Evidence-Based Juvenile Justice Reform, was published. Emilie worked extensively in the field of juvenile justice prior to attending law school. As an attorney, she previously practiced personal injury and family law. She now concentrates her practice on the defense of workers compensation claims in the firms Atlanta office.
