Matthew J. Turkalj

Matt focuses his practice on medical malpractice and healthcare professional liability, long-term care liability, and general liability. He successfully represents his clients throughout all stages of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, trial, and post-trial motions. Matt is passionate about representing healthcare providers because he enjoys advocating for people who work extremely hard and selflessly to help others in need. Matt graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2018, with a concentration in health law. While attending Case, he served as an Associate Editor for the Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine and clerked in the legal departments at both University Hospitals and Summa Health, where he gained exposure to the inner workings of two major health systems. Prior to joining Perez Morris in 2023, Matt obtained invaluable litigation experience as an attorney at Reminger Co., L. P. A. Matt lives in Mentor, Ohio, with his wife and two children. Outside of work, Matt enjoys learning about American presidential history and spending time with his family.
