Elizabeth Uribe

Background Ms. Uribe is fluent in Spanish and honed her skills when she participated in a student-abroad program at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) while in college. From 2008 to 2013 she served on the board of the Mexican American Bar Association (MABA) and was President of the organization in 2013. During her tenure on the MABA board, Ms. Uribe helped organize numerous events, including MCLE seminars, legal fairs, and visits to local high schools. She also served on several committees, including the Federal Judicial Externship Program, judicial and political endorsements committee, immigration committee, and the civil rights committee. She also represented MABA at the Multi-Cultural Bar Alliance (MCBA). Ms. Uribe is currently on the MABA immigration committee and is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). In the past, she also served on the advisory committees of the Immigrant Resource Center of the San Gabriel Valley and for the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic.
