Christina Brown

The Project Christina Brown is an Equal Justice Works Fellow serving in the Disaster Recovery Legal Corps (DRLC). Christina is dedicated to protecting and advocating for the rights of vulnerable communities. She has experience representing clients in various civil legal matters including workers compensation, personal injury, and products liability claims. Christina is a 2013 graduate of the Southern University Law Center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Christinas project addresses the holistic legal needs of low-income individuals and households affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, focusing on serving populations in the coastal counties of Texas. She provides outreach and legal services on matters including housing, insurance, public benefits, FEMA appeals, and other legal problems that arise in the wake of a disaster. Media
