Jacob Sowell

I am licensed to practice in Texas State Courts and the Federal Courts in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. I am a Texas Court-Certified Mediator. My practice focuses on estate and business planning, family law, and other civil matters. I served in the US Army from 2006 to 2016 as an Infantryman, Platoon Leader, Logistics Officer, and Company Commander. During that time my assignments and deployments included Hawaii, Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of South Alabama, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from St. Mary's School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law from the University of Houston Law Center. As a visiting student at South Texas College of Law Houston, I studied and participated in the prestigious Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution Mediation Clinic. I am an avid outdoorsman.
