Shawn C. Laney

Managing Attorney SHAWN LANEYMr. Laney grew up in Allen, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Baylor University before embarking on his legal career.He attended St. Marys University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where in May of 2012 he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. Mr. Laney sat for the Texas Bar Exam later that summer, passing on his first attempt. Mr. Laney discovered his passion for probate and estate planning while working as a probate intern and a student attorney during law school at St. Marys. Over the course of his career, he has made those disciplines the main focus of his practice, while becoming familiar with other areas of law, such as real estate, family law, and tort litigation, that often end up in probate court as being related to a deceased or incapacitated persons estate.
