D. from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, she focused on Health Law, Disability Rights, and LGBT issues. She served as the Activity Chair for the Out Law organization, acted as a Student Peer Mentor, and was active with the Student Bar Association. Julia also had the honor of representing UHLC at the 2009 Lavender Law Conference in Miami.
