About
Full Bio Although Mr. Doyle concentrates his practice in the area of Complex Commercial Litigation, he has handled litigation matters of all types and has examined witnesses in both state and federal courts across the country. He has represented and advised Fortune 500 companies on a broad range of legal issues, including consumer class actions, securities class actions, data breach class actions, antitrust cases, fiduciary duty and contract cases, director and officer liability, false advertising, defamation, construction litigation, and patent infringement and other intellectual property matters. Mr. Doyles trial victories include successfully defending patents on the highest-selling cancer drug (Taxol), obtaining a multimillion dollar award as lead counsel for Abbott Laboratories in a contract dispute, and obtaining a complete defense verdict in a breach of fiduciary duty/corporate opportunities case in which the plaintiffs were seeking over $100 million in damages. He also has acted as lead counsel for a prominent restaurant franchisor in consumer class actions, franchise disputes and disputes concerning the companys promotional games. He has successfully argued appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and in the Illinois Appellate Court. While at Freeborn (now SGR), Mr. Doyle served as Co-Chair of the Recruiting Committee and was a member of the firms Peer Review Committee. Mr. Doyle earned his J. D. from Northwestern Universitys Pritzker School of Law where he graduated cum laude. He served as a Member of the National Trial Team and was on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. He earned his B. A. from Kalamazoo College, graduating magna cum laude.
