About Before joining the Weaver Robinson Law Firm, Mr. Robinson successfully ran his own Houston-based practice for six (6) years where he focused on intellectual property-particularly Trademarks-and entertainment law. He also boasts a prominent background in successfully defending Bit Torrent Copyright infringement suits. Mr. Robinson received his undergraduate degree from Texas State University--San Marcos in 2009, where he obtained his bachelors degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations. While at Texas State University, Mr. Robinson was a recognized honor student and a leader in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Robinson also took up Japanese as a second language. In 2012, Mr. Robinson graduated from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now the Texas A&M School of Law) in Fort Worth. While in law school, Mr. Robinson focused his studies primarily on the protection of intellectual property rights, particularly as it pertains to the entertainment industry, and constitutional law. In furtherance of his passion for entertainment and intellectual property law in an international forum, Mr. Robinson was invited to spend a semester of law school abroad in Tokyo, Japan by Temple Law School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania--which is an honor extended to approximately 100 U. S. law school students per year. While abroad, Mr. Robinson was invited to appear before the Japanese Supreme Court. As a consequence of his undergraduate studies and his time abroad, Mr. Robinson is also able to read, write, and speak Japanese. Mr. Robinson also has a background in video game production and has a deep, first-hand understanding of the complex intellectual property rights scenarios impacting the games industry. Based on this knowledge he appeared in the documentary film Mother to Earth: The Untold Story of Earth Bound. He believes in giving back to the communities he is passionate about and often volunteers his time pro bono to the Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts.
