William M. Farris

An attorney at the family law firm Farris & Thomas Law, William M.J. Farris has served clients in Wilson County and throughout the Rocky Mount Metro areas for 18 years. He focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, business and commercial law, and criminal defense law.Mr. Farris attended undergrad at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, gaining a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1997. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2001. The same year, Mr. Farris gained admission to the North Carolina State Bar and joined his family law firm.Throughout his practice, Mr. Farris has gained recognition from fellow attorneys and clients alike. He was named to the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers for four consecutive years from 2012 to 2015. He boasts an Avvo rating of Superb, and he was honored by the Wilson Police Department in 2012. In addition, Mr. Farris gives back to his community and previously served as a board member for The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Wilson and The Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina, among other organizations.
