About
Cooper Black is a trial lawyer whose civil litigation practice encompasses the areas of complex business and commercial litigation, real estate litigation, personal injury defense, and the resolution of a broad range of disputes involving the oil & gas and aviation industries. Cooper earned his bachelors degree in finance from Oklahoma State University in 2016 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2023. While in law school, he served on the Board of Advocates, earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Family Law, and received multiple scholarships and honors, including a 1L Moot Court Distinguished Speaker Award, Rayburn L. Foster Memorial Scholarship, Cole E. Adwon Memorial Scholarship, Leo H. Whinery Scholarship, and a Merit-Based Scholarship. Cooper also served as a law clerk for The Honorable Don Andrews of the Oklahoma County District Court, spent a summer working at an Oklahoma City-based medical malpractice defense firm, and clerked one year for an Oklahoma City-based oil and gas title examination firm. Prior to attending law school, Cooper worked as an account manager for an Oklahoma-based technology solutions company for three years. Outside of work Cooper enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, golfing, taking his dogs on walks, and rooting for his favorite sports teams - the Kansas City Chiefs, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Manchester United Football Club.
