Hunter was born and raised in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. After graduating high school, he attended Florida State University to receive a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Political Science. After graduating in December 2018, Hunter continued his education at the University of Mississippi’s School of Law and received his J.D. with honors in May of 2022. While in law school, Hunter worked as a clinical student in the university’s Low-Income Housing and Eviction Clinic, where he represented local clients facing wrongful evictions and predatory rental management practices. Hunter also served as the Chair of the Trial Advocacy Board, winning the board’s first national championship at the Florida National Trial Advocacy Tournament.
