Elisa Cantu

Thank you for your interest in me. This bio, as you see, is not in third person like most. That is because if it were, it wouldn’t be like me. I am very personable, and I hope that you at least catch a little glimpse in reading this. I will not bore you with a long educational background. I will tell you this- shortly after high school, I began working at a local reputable family law firm. I started off as the receptionist, and two months later, I was moved into a paralegal position. I quickly fell in love with helping clients navigate the difficult proceedings. As a paralegal, I got a lot of hands-on experience and was able to work directly with clients on a daily basis. In 2017, my mentor presented me with the opportunity to enroll in the APR 6 program. It is an alternative to law school. I studied the same courses as that of a law student, and took the bar exam, only I was under the mentorship of an attorney vs. a professor at a school. I am grateful this is the route that I went because of the experience that I gained throughout the internship. Upon getting my license, I have continued to work closely with senior counsel to grow and help clients throughout the difficult time that they find themselves facing. I am bilingual and excited to also help the Latino Community.
