She worked as a Policy Analyst at New Mexico Voices for Children before law school and was funded by W. K. Kellogg to attend the University of New Mexico School of Law. As a law student, Sarah externed for the Honorable Judge Linda Vanzi, assisted with research concerning environmental and gender justice, and published a law review article titled Healthy Environment, Healthy Mind: Constitutionally Guaranteeing Children the Right to a Healthful Environment. Sarah began her legal career at Peifer, Hanson, Mullins & Baker P. A., where she practiced in areas including appellate law, commercial litigation, and employment law. Sarah practices through a trauma-informed lens and aims to help her clients feel heard and valued. Outside her practice, Sarah is an avid tap dancer and teacher. She has been a company member and teacher for Alley Kats Tap Company for over a decade and frequently performs locally with Alley Kats, Breaking Even, and her musician husband. Sarah loves spending time outdoors and exploring the Land of Enchantment with her husband and dogs.
