Shes represented a range of clients, including the City of Atlanta, the ACLU, a leading home improvement retailer, a major global airline and a white-shoe investment firm. Prior to joining the firm, Amber clerked in the Eastern District of Virginia, known universally as the Rocket Docket due to its rapid litigation pace. She also clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, conducting legal research, analysis and review on appellate issues carrying national significance. Outside the office, she volunteers with The Appellate Project, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive appellate community. Amber graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. While in law school, she was a member of The Order of the Coif, senior managing editor of the Georgia Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Team. Additionally, she served as executive chairperson of the Black Law Students Association and vice president, music and entertainment for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Augusta University. Representative Work Successfully defended a white-shoe investment firm against civil Georgia RICO claims, securing a full motion to dismiss for all claims in Fulton County business court. Appointed by the D. C. Circuit to appear as amicus counsel and defend a district court order in a case involving the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, which deals with matters of international terrorism.
