Erich Schultheiss

With heavy hearts, Thrift McLemore announces the passing of our Partner and friend, Erich Schultheiss. A proud graduate of Chattahoochee High School, Erich was known for his infectious spirit and his passion for life. He went on to pursue his academic dreams at the University of Georgia and later earned his law degree from Georgia State University. During his time in law school, Erich received the Cali Award and participated in the Business Capstone course. Erich was also published in the Fulton County Daily Report. Along with Judge Christopher Edwards, he co-wrote an article entitled Virtually Unknown, Tortious Misconduct Deserves Attention, exploring a lesser-known Tort action in Georgia. As a dedicated lawyer, he stood up for justice with the same fervor he showed as an enthusiastic supporter of his beloved Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. Erich is survived by his loving parents, William and Linda Schultheiss; his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Callie and Philip Bolduc; and his adored niece and nephew, Emma and Ben Bolduc. He is also survived by his cherished grandmother, Edith Ondras. They will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Prior to joining Thrift McLemore, Erich worked at King & Spalding, Ballard Law, and the Federal Defender. Erich focused on litigation issues for a variety of cases including data breaches, securities issues, and construction and engineering disputes. Erich was a member in good standing of the Georgia Bar as well as a member of the Atlanta Bar Association.
