Christine L. Khano

Download vCard Chris Khano is a partner with Lazega & Johanson, LLC and serves as general counsel to community associations in its General Services Department. Chris has years of experience with real estate law, community association law, creditors rights, and nonprofit governance. She routinely advises board of directors and community association managers on a wide range of legal and business issues, including developer transitions, assessment collections, contract negotiations, covenant enforcement, compliance, and risk management. Chris is passionate about working with the boards and community association managers to advance the mission and vision of her clients. Chris is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and holds a J. D./M. P. H. dual degree from Georgia State University College of Law and School of Public Health and a B. A. in English-Creative Writing from Emory University. Industry Experience Prior to joining the General Services Department at Lazega & Johanson, Chris served as a community association collection attorney for seven years. As a seasoned collection attorney, she handled a vast array of collection matters from pre-litigation to litigation to garnishments and foreclosure sales.
