Keanna Broadie

Keanna is dedicated to empowering her clients, listening to their stories, and advocating for their needs with conviction. Starting at a young age, Keanna made precise decisions to cause her to land exactly where she is. Technically speaking, Keanna graduated from college a month prior to graduating from high school. She started college as a high school freshman, taking up to eight classes a semester, and cramming a college education in with a high school experience. After graduating high school, she went straight to Florida State University where she finely focused her studies on her two areas of interest, family and law. At Florida State University she earned two bachelors degrees related to those interests-a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Sciences. Following her undergraduate education at FSU, she leaped head-first into the legal world. In fact, her first post-collegiate job was with Molly and Christie at Sasso and Guerreros predecessor firm, Kinney and Sasso. Keanna climbed her way through the ranks at Kinney and Sasso, working first as their receptionist, then as their paralegal, and now as an attorney at Sasso and Guerrero. Keanna worked with the Sasso and Guerrero partners for over two years prior to attending law school at Florida Coastal School of Law. During her employment, and through most of law school, Keanna was also a Guardian ad Litem. Guardians ad Litem are certified, court-appointed volunteers tasked with advocating for a childs best interest in dependency proceedings. Keannas first-hand experience with the dependency system gives her a unique perspective on family law which she uses for the benefit of her clients. While in law school, Keanna was a member of the nationally ranked Moot Court team, Student Animal Legal Defense Fund Society, and the Real Property and Environmental Law Society. During her attendance at Florida Coastal, the school was ranked the #1 Moot Court team in the nation. This ranking followed shortly after Keannas team took first place overall in the Elon Universitys Billings, Exum & Frye competition, after competing against 41 teams from 28 different law schools. Keanna primarily works in our Nassau County office, although she takes cases all over Northeast Florida. She has extensive experience practicing law in Nassau County, Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, and Yulee. She previously clerked for The Honorable Steven M. Fahlgren, who currently presides in Nassau County, and worked with the experienced trial attorneys at Davis & Steger, PLLC, in Fernandina Beach, FL. Through these experiences, Keanna gained valuable legal research, writing, and advocacy skills which she channels into her career. Keanna is steadfastly driven by the two things to which she is profoundly connected: family and law. She has dedicated her life towards building her career as a family lawyer. She understands that family law cases involve the most intimate matters which significantly impact peoples lives, and she strives to represent her clients interests with the same conviction as if it were her own case. Keanna is a member of the Family Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, and the Robert M. Foster Inn of Court in Nassau County. She is currently the Treasurer of the Florida Family Law American Inn of Court.
