About

Biography Kyles results speak for themselves and leave no doubt that he is one of the nations most accomplished trial attorneys. In 2023, two of his verdicts were the largest verdicts in two different states. Throughout his career, his verdicts have been recognized by multiple publications, including a #1 burn injury verdict, #2 product liability verdict, #3 brain injury verdict, and multiple top 20 personal injury verdicts. Many of his trial verdicts are consistently ranked among the top 50 and top 100 verdicts in yearly rankings for the United States. With these results, it is clear why clients and attorneys turn to Kyle with their most challenging cases in their greatest hour of need. Kyle thrives in cases where there are extraordinarily complex factual and legal issues and has obtained dozens of seven-figure, eight-figure, and nine-figure results in cases where the defendants initially offered zero. Kyle sees the potential in cases where other lawyers would give up and he tirelessly builds his cases with ingenuity and tenacity. He is well known as a formidable force in the courtroom and has been since the beginning of his career. Few trial attorneys ever achieve the consummate skill that he demonstrates every day in trial. Due to his extraordinary success and trial experience, Kyle is frequently invited to speak at trial lawyer conventions, including recent conventions in Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and London. Some of his most recent results include the following:$2.065 billion verdict for a man who developed cancer after using Roundup$557 million verdict for a woman struck by a Union Pacific train$185 million settlement for seamen injured during a severe weather event$177.5 million settlement for industrial incident$141 million verdict for industrial contractors$139 million settlement for the victims of a pipeline explosion$120 million settlement for industrial incident$96 million settlement for workers hurt in industrial incident$92.7 million settlement for an injured plant worker$76 million verdict in a pharmaceutical case$51 million settlement for workers injured in an explosion$46.5 million settlement for workers injured in an explosion$42 million settlement for an injured plant worker$40 million settlement for Jones Act seamen$35.5 million settlement for a commercial vehicle wreck$38 million settlement for oilfield incident$33 million verdict for an injured paper mill worker$27.7 million verdict for the family of a worker killed on an offshore platform$17 million settlement for injured plant workers$16.4 million settlement for a wrongful death case$16.1 million verdict for an injured plant worker$15.5 million verdict for an injured plant worker$14.5 million settlement for an injured worker$13 million settlement for an injured plant worker$12.5 million settlement for electrocution$10 million settlement for commercial vehicle wreck$9.1 million verdict for a Jones Act seaman Kyle became a lawyer because he wanted to spend his life making a tangible difference in others lives. Kyle grew up in East Texas where he was instilled with an unwavering commitment to represent people-not corporations. It has been his great honor to secure numerous life-changing results for those facing insurmountable challenges from companies that wrongfully refuse to be held accountable. Kyle has built an exceptional reputation for holding corporations accountable on behalf of his clients with an unwavering dedication to fighting for his clients until they get the compensation that they deserve. In a recent trial, Kyle represented a young woman who was struck by a Union Pacific train. Union Pacific refused to take responsibility and tried to blame the plaintiff for her own injuries. However, the jury refused to believe Union Pacifics excuses. Instead, the jury recognized that Kyles common-sense approach was right. The jury accordingly held Union Pacific responsible and awarded a record-breaking $557 million verdict, one of the largest in the history of Texas for a single-plaintiff injury case. Two weeks before his trial against Union Pacific, Kyle tried a case against Talos in Federal Court in Louisiana. Talos repeatedly made excuses and refused to take responsibility for the tragic death of the plaintiff who was killed on an offshore platform, instead, they blamed his co-workers for the event. After a nine-day trial, the jurors unanimously held Talos accountable and awarded $27.7 million to the plaintiffs family. This verdict was a record-setting verdict for a wrongful death case in the state. Kyle tried a heartbreaking case on behalf of a young woman who was shot in her college apartment. This brave woman filed the lawsuit for relief from her own catastrophic injuries and to prevent this from happening to anyone else. However, she succumbed to her injuries before trial. After her death, Kyle continued to fight tirelessly on her behalf. Kyle took the case to trial in her memory. After enduring two weeks of Kyles unrelenting questioning and fierce trial strategy, the defendants settled the case for a confidential amount that was many multiples of the pretrial offer. As a result of this hard-won settlement, the clients family was able to name a college auditorium in her honor so she will never be forgotten. Recently, Kyle represented a client who was seriously burned in a paper mill explosion. He took on multiple companies that refused responsibility during the litigation. Two of the companies refused to settle the claims for fair value and instead pushed the case to trial. The insurance companies bet wrong. After a three-week trial-just one day after Kyles closing arguments-the jury came back with a $33 million award, not including pre-judgment interest or punitive damages. The result was more than 33 times what the companies had offered to settle the case before trial. The verdict was ranked #40 in the United States. Kyles success as a trial lawyer isnt recent-it started early in his career. He was one of the youngest attorneys to be awarded lifetime memberships into both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollars Advocates Forum. He was also quickly selected by The National Trial Lawyers to be included as a Top 40 Under 40 lawyer for multiple years in a row. Kyle has also been inducted into the Best Lawyers in America and has been featured in Texas Monthly magazine as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. He was then recognized by Super Lawyers in 2022, 2023 and 2024. In 2020, Texas Monthly magazine also recognized Kyle in the top 100 Up-and-Coming Attorneys in Texas. He has also been recognized as the Nations Top One Percent of Trial Lawyers by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and by The American Institute of Trial Lawyers as the 2020 Personal Injury Litigator of the Year. He has similarly been recognized by Best Lawyers for admiralty and maritime law, mass tort litigation, and product liability litigation multiple years in a row. He has also been awarded Best of the Bar-a designation reserved for the few lawyers with record-breaking verdicts. Kyles journey began at the University of Texas in Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in government with business foundations, achieving university honors. He later pursued his passion for law at South Texas College of Law where he earned his law degree. Over a decade ago, Kyle embarked on his legal career as a law clerk at Arnold & Itkin, quickly making his mark as one of the firms top trial lawyers. He has helped build Arnold & Itkin into the top-tier law firm that it is today while managing his own trial team. Today, Kyle is a pillar of the firm and continues to inspire new generations of lawyers with his ingenious strategy and unparalleled skill.
