McWaters attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a focus in Sports Journalism, in 2015. After completing his undergraduate studies, McWaters returned home to Memphis, Tennessee and attended University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2018. McWaters is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee. His areas of concentration include matters involving contractual disputes, collection of commercial and consumer debt, recovery of collateral, consumer bankruptcy on behalf of creditors, and closing of real estate transactions.
