Roy J. Schechter

Representing plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation matters, Roy provides honest and dependable counsel to his clients. Practicing civil litigation for more than 25 years, Roy represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation matters. He also counsels businesses, banks, and other financial institutions on employment and human resources best practices, and represents them in employment related litigation. He conducts workplace investigations which allows his clients to get to the bottom of discrimination and civil rights allegations. From inception through trial and appeal, Roy keeps his clients involved and informed through every step of the litigation process. With a unique way of streamlining complex legal issues, he strives to provide insightful and efficient counsel to his clients. Prior to joining Weltman, Roy was a partner at his own litigation firm, and a Cuyahoga County assistant prosecuting attorney. In his free time, Roy enjoys golf, music, Cleveland sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
