John H. Coleman

Personal Note John Coleman serves as Chairman of the General Liability Litigation Department for the 8-state liability practice of Hennessey and Roach, PC. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the Transportation and Logistics Department. He has practiced as an active trial lawyer for more than 45 years and tried over 70 cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts in eight different states. He has argued Appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Illinois Supreme Court, and Illinois Appellate Courts. John earned his undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from Xavier University, and thereafter earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is an active member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) and the Trucking Lawyers Association (TLA). He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois federal court. He serves on the Illinois State Bar Association judicial evaluation committee. He is a frequent presenter and speaker at seminars for insurers and risk managers and he is Martindale Hubbell AV rated.
