Jefferson L. Rev. 337 (2015) Biography: As an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, Oliver Barwald attended Arizona State University (ASU), graduating cum laude from the W. P. Carey School of Business with a degree in Business Sustainability and a minor in Psychology. After graduating from ASU, Mr. Barwald enrolled at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While attending law school, Mr. Barwald also served as Executive Editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and was a published academic writer for the Law Review Journal. Mr. Barwald also served numerous internship positions for preeminent civil law firms in San Diego, gaining valuable insight and experience in both Plaintiff and Defense sides of civil litigation. After being admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, Mr. Barwald joined Berman & Riedel, LLP as an Associate Attorney. Since joining Berman & Riedel, LLP, Mr. Barwald has enjoyed assisting clients with all aspects of their cases in order to provide justice to injured victims and their families. Mr. Barwald takes a personal approach with his clients to help provide a unique and comforting experience throughout their legal journey. Outside of the office, Mr. Barwald loves playing basketball, golf, and spending time with his family. Although living in San Diego now, Mr. Barwald remains an avid Arizona sports fan and even interned with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League during college.
