John Lara John Lara was born and raised in the Chicago land area. He recently moved to Southwest Florida in 2022. John is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and has been practicing law there since 2017. John has received professional recognition and is a 2020 recipient of the Illinois West Suburban Chamber of Commerces Regional 30 Under 40 Award. John passed the July 2022 Florida Bar Exam and is excited to be a part of the Florida community. Prior to joining Kyle and Kyle Law, John managed his prior firms litigation department and estate administration department. John has a wide range of legal practice areas including civil litigation, municipal law, real estate, estate administration, and bankruptcy. John has extensive knowledge in the foreclosure realm as he has defended and prosecuted foreclosure actions. John also has extensive experience in working with lenders and clients on loss mitigation. Specifically, John has facilitated loan modifications, forbearance agreements, reinstatements, consent foreclosures, deed-in-lieu, and short sales. In fact, prior to being a licensed attorney, John was a member of his law schools foreclosure clinic where he represented clients in foreclosure actions under the supervision of the clinics managing attorney. John enjoys volunteering. As a law school student, John volunteered as an unpaid peer mentor, mentoring new law students, and helping them become acclimated with law school. As an attorney, John has volunteered as a Mock Judge for Jessup Moot Trial Competition and has volunteered for and organized countless community events.
