Joel Mohorter

Attorney Overview Joel Mohorter is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar and focuses his practice on construction and commercial litigation. During his career, Joel has also gained significant experience in diverse areas of civil practice representing large corporations and organizations on a variety of matters including premises liability, automobile negligence and civil rights claims. Joel also has experience representing small and medium sized businesses in various commercial litigation claims, including business torts, shareholder disputes and contract disputes. Prior to law school, Joel worked as an environmental consultant where he specialized in water intrusion inspection, analysis and remediation. He also oversaw remediation work for a major homebuilder. During law school, Joel interned for the Honorable Elizabeth Jenkins (Federal Magistrate Judge for the Middle District of Florida) and the Honorable Caroline Tesche Arkin (Circuit Court Judge - Hillsborough County, Florida).
