He earned his B.S. from Florida A&M University in 1994, a master's in health administration from the University of North Florida in 1997, and his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where he served as Notes & Comments Editor for the FSU Law Review. He later moved into public service as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida, working in the Consumer Protection Division of the Florida Attorney General's office, where he recovered millions of dollars for victims of economic crimes and took on some of the nation's most prominent law firms. Returning to private practice, he became a partner at Conroy Simberg, one of Florida's major insurance-defense firms, where he handled federal and state civil trial litigation involving wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, and automobile negligence, as well as local government law, land use, and redevelopment matters; he also provided educational training to insurance professionals and defense attorneys.
Today at Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, he works as a trial attorney managing cases from the presuit phase through trial, overseeing a team of attorneys, and handling motion practice, depositions of expert and lay witnesses, mediation, and jury trials on behalf of accident and injury victims. He is a member of the Florida Bar (Member

Beyond his legal practice, he hosts a radio talk show alongside former Orange County Commissioner Rod Love, runs his own YouTube channel, and is active on LinkedIn, where he writes about legal professionalism, mentors junior attorneys, and shares educational content such as guidance on Florida workers' compensation claims. He has described his approach to the law as a way to "serve, educate and empower others," attributing his success to the strong work ethic instilled in him by his parents.
