About
Sid is a highly experienced trial attorney whose practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation, shareholder derivative and class action litigation, as well as various high-profile matters. Sid handles a wide range of corporate law matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery and various federal and state courts including cases involving claims of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, mergers and acquisitions, breach of contract, inspection of corporate books and records, appointments of custodians/receivers and indemnification of corporate officers and directors. In addition to the various courts, Sid has represented clients in domestic and international arbitrations. He has also represented parties in high-profile matters including those involving land use issues and targets of various investigations. Sid has tried cases before various state and federal courts including the Delaware Court of Chancery and federal court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Sid has also argued in various appellate courts including the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Delaware Supreme Court and the New York Supreme Courts Appellate Division. He has represented many U. S. and foreign institutional investors, including some of the worlds largest. Sid has played major roles prosecuting high-profile securities fraud civil actions including In re Tyco International Ltd. (D. N. H.), In re Enron Corp. (S. D. Tex.); In re World Com, Inc. (S. D. N. Y.) and In re Global Crossing Ltd. (S. D. N. Y.). Sid has appeared before tribunals and arbitration panels and conducted depositions in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. He played a central role in the landmark Pan-European settlement of securities claims under Dutch Law involving Royal Dutch Shell, in which he represented dozens of financial institutions throughout Europe. The settlement was among the first of its kind in the Amsterdam Court of Appeals and has been the topic of many conferences and legal journals.
