Howard C. Scott

The office of Kivel & Howard Law is pleased to announce that Barry Fifth-Lince has joined the firm. He brings extensive legal experience in the areas of Child Protection, Family Law, and as an attorney who has handled a wide range of Civil Rights Litigation as well as Criminal Defense. He started his career as a Law Intern with the Legal Services of South-Central Michigan in Lansing, Michigan. Barry was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2018, and the US District Court District of Oregon (Federal Bar) in 2019. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan as well as a BS in Political Science from Portland State University. Barry believes that using his legal education to give back to the community is tantamount to a healthy society. He was a volunteer attorney with Habitat for Humanity for four years and a Mock Trial Coach at Liberty High School in Hillsboro for six years. Currently he is working with the Multnomah County Child Advocacy Program and is the Legal Advisor for the Lent Elementary Migra Watch in SE Portland.
