James N. Melfi

James Melfi represents victims of serious personal injury and wrongful death resulting from motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, and various forms of negligence. Along with his work in the personal injury field, James is a member of BKMs Complex Litigation Practice Group (CLPG). In that role, James advises and represents business and corporate clients across diverse sectors, providing strategic guidance, compliance support, and advocacy in the courtroom. A native of Girard, Ohio, James graduated from Girard High School and Miami University (OH) where he earned a bachelors degree in political science. James attended Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2019. James is admitted to practice in Ohio and Florida state courts and the U. S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. James serves on the Board of Trustees of the Mahoning County Bar Association and is a member of the Trumbull County Bar Association. Dedicated to his community, James serves on the Board of Directors for the Girard Free Library. James, along with his spouse Nina and their son James, reside in Girard, Ohio. .
