Shortly after Hurricane Andrew in 1992, the Greenwald family moved up to the Fort Lauderdale area. After graduating from Western High School in Davie, Brian then decided to attend college at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and a minor in Mass Communications. Since Gainesville, FL was the farthest North Brian had ever lived, he decided to do something different for law school. He chose to continue his studies at Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, NY. It was an experience he often describes as, moving from one extreme weather climate to another; from swamp to tundra. After receiving his Juris Doctorate, Brian decided that it was time to move back home to Florida to begin his legal career. Brian knew he wanted to be a criminal defense attorney ever since he interned for the Palm Beach County Public Defenders Office. Knowing that the job would be difficult and financially unrewarding, he nonetheless jumped at the opportunity to become an Assistant Public Defender. After 8 years of honorable service, Brian gained valuable experience defending thousands of clients and taking over 150 cases to trial as lead counsel. It was there at the Public Defenders Office that Brian became a true trial attorney. Although he loved the work, Brian reluctantly left the Public Defenders office to begin a new venture. In June of 2013, he took his years of courtroom experience along with him to open up Brian F. Greenwald, P. A., a private law firm dedicated to aggressively defending people with criminal charges. The Brian F. Greenwald, P. A. operates throughout the Central and South Florida regions. Brian married his beautiful wife, Jenna, in 2016. Together they have three children - Emily, Jake, and Lizzie.
