Ryan I. Wells is a judge of the Superior Court of Fresno County in California, appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 25, 2021, and elected in 2022. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law. Wells began his legal career as a law clerk at the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office in 2008. He then served as a Legal Editor at Lexis Nexis from 2009 to 2010, followed by a tenure as Deputy District Attorney at the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 until his judicial appointment in 2021, Wells was the Senior Deputy District Attorney at the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office.
