Hon. Thomas Aliotta

Thomas P. Aliotta is a justice of the Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District in Kings County, New York. He has served in this capacity since 2002, following a distinguished career in public service and private practice. Aliotta earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1974 and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1977. He began his legal career as an associate at the Law Office of Jonathan D. Golby, then served as an assistant district attorney in Richmond County and as an assistant D.A. for the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. He later ran his own general law practice before being elected to the New York City Civil Court of Richmond County in 1991, where he served until 2001, including a term as supervising judge and acting supreme court justice. In 2002 he was elected to the Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District, where he continues to serve.
