Hon. R. Bruce Cozzens

R. Bruce Cozzens Jr. serves as a justice of the New York Supreme Court, 10th Judicial District, in Nassau County. He was first elected to this position in 1998 and successfully secured re-election in 2011, a campaign in which he received 11.07% of the vote, placing him among the ten candidates who won seats on the court. Prior to his judicial tenure, Cozzens practiced law under the firm name McCabe & Cozzens. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law. As a member of the New York bar, he has contributed to the legal community through both his private practice and his long-standing service on the state Supreme Court.
