Hon. Donald A. Teeple

Donald A. Teeple, Jr. is a long-serving judge in Michigan, currently presiding over the 24th Circuit Court, the 73A District Court, and the Sanilac County Probate Court. He was first elected to the bench in 1990 and has been re-elected in 1996, 2002, 2008, and 2014, demonstrating sustained confidence from the electorate. Prior to his judicial career, Teeple practiced law privately for 16 years, gaining broad experience in general legal matters. He earned his A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1971 and his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1974. A member of the Michigan Bar Association and the Sanilac County Bar Association, Teeple has also been active in community organizations such as the Family Counseling Services of the Thumb, the Sandusky Lion’s Club, United Way of Sanilac County, and the Sanilac County Advisory Board of St. Clair County Community College. His dedication to public service and legal excellence has made him a respected figure in Michigan’s judiciary.
