Hon. Elena Condes

Elena Condes is a seasoned criminal defense attorney and the current Judge of the Superior Court of Alameda County, California. With over 26 years of courtroom experience, she has dedicated her career to fighting for vulnerable and marginalized populations. A graduate of the University of Arizona (Bachelor’s, 1989) and Golden Gate University Law School (J.D., 1992), Condes has served as a sole practitioner and has been endorsed by more than 25 sitting judges, Congressman Eric Swalwell, and numerous community organizations. She was elected to the bench in November 2020 and assumed office on January 4, 2021, where she continues to advocate for a fair and compassionate justice system. Condes is a Latina, lesbian, and mother, bringing diversity and a deep commitment to equal access to justice to the Alameda County Superior Court.
