Hon. Amy E. Lukasavitz

Amy Lukasavitz served as a judge on the Minnesota 6th District Court from October 18, 2021, until January 2, 2023. She was appointed to the position by Governor Tim Walz on September 8, 2021, succeeding Robert E. Macaulay. Prior to her judicial appointment, Lukasavitz worked as an Assistant County Attorney for the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office, an Assistant Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial District, and as the DWI Court Coordinator for the South St. Louis County DWI Court. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota Duluth (1994) and a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (2007). Lukasavitz is a member of the 11th District Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association. She has volunteered with the Crisis Intervention Team, Duluth Playhouse, KUMD, and the Volunteer Attorney Program.
