Hon. Jane Barwick

Judge Jane C. Barwick has served as a Superior Court Judge in Fulton County since 2015, following her role as Judicial Officer and Magistrate Judge from 2012 to 2014. She is designated to hear cases at the Georgia Supreme Court in 2017. With a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and an M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary, she has a strong legal and theological background. Judge Barwick has been actively involved with Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta since 2001 and has taught law at Emory University School of Law since 1991. Her professional journey includes various legal roles, starting from her early career at Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd & Cadenhead in 1981 to her current position as an Adjunct Professor and Senior Vice President at multiple firms. She has also contributed to legal education through continuing education seminars. Judge Barwick is a member of several professional organizations, including the Order of the Barristers and the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers. Her contributions extend beyond her legal career; she has served on the Governor’s Commission on Family Law and the Fulton County Task Force on Child Support. Her dedication to both law and community service highlights her multifaceted impact.
