About
David L. Dickinson has served as a Superior Court judge in Florida since 2003, appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue. Prior to his current role, he was chief state court judge for Forsyth County and assistant state attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida. With over 36 years of legal experience, Dickinson practiced law in Monroe and Walton counties, including positions as municipal court judge for Monroe, Social Circle, and Walnut Grove, and Judge Pro Tempore for the Walton County Juvenile Court. He also co-founded the law firm Hamil and Dickinson and served as Mayor of Monroe from 1998 to 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Mercer University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia Law School, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs.
