Hon. Robert McBurney

Judge Robert C. I. McBurney has served on the Superior Court of Fulton County since April 2012, handling a split docket of civil and criminal cases and participating in the Adult Felony Drug Court. Prior to his bench service, he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, focusing on public corruption, international terrorism, and child exploitation cases. He was the Chief Judge of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit from 2018 to 2020 and served as the Presiding Officer of the Judicial Qualifications Commission Hearing Panel from 2017 to 2024.
