Hon. Janet B. Heppard

Judge Janet B. Heppard has been presiding over the 387th State District Court since January 1, 2021. Prior to her judicial appointment, she worked extensively in family law, serving as a staff attorney and later as Clinic Director and Clinical Professor at the University of Houston Law Center's clinical program. She has received awards for her service, including recognition from the Houston Bar Association and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
