Hon. T. Glenn Ellington

T. Glenn Ellington is a seasoned New Mexico judge who has served on the First Judicial District Court, Division 7 since his election in 2010. Prior to his judgeship, Ellington held a variety of legal and public service roles, including attorney at Ellington & Ellington, cabinet secretary for the New Mexico Department of Taxation and Revenue, judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals, district judge on the First Judicial District Court, public defender, and private practice attorney. He earned his bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University in 1984, his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1988, and a certificate of general jurisdiction from the National Judicial College in 1997. Ellington was retained in the 2014 judicial election with 82% of the vote and received a favorable performance evaluation from the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission.
