Hon. Donald L. Sanderson

Donald L. Sanderson served as a district court judge for Michigan’s 2B District Court from his appointment by Governor William G. Milliken on February 21, 1978, until his retirement on January 1, 2015. A University of Michigan alumnus, he earned his Bachelor’s degree before obtaining his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. Throughout his nearly four decades on the bench, Judge Sanderson presided over a wide range of civil and criminal matters in Hillsdale County, contributing to the administration of justice in Michigan. His long tenure and appointment by a former governor underscore his dedication and experience in the Michigan judiciary.
