Hon. Peter R. Ramgren

Peter Ramgren has served as a judge on the Alaska Third District Superior Court since his appointment by Governor Mike Dunleavy in July 2019. He was retained in the 2022 retention election with 55% of the vote. Prior to his judgeship, Ramgren worked as a magistrate and superior court master for the same court from 2012 to 2019. He earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1997. Ramgren’s judicial responsibilities encompass a broad range of civil and criminal matters within the Third District, and he continues to serve the Anchorage community until his term concludes in 2029.
